Cliff DeYoung’s career has spanned feature films, television and theater. DeYoung has appeared in some 25
feature films, 10 miniseries and 15 television movies. He grew up in South Central Los Angeles and caught the
acting bug while attending California State University, Los Angeles, where he switched his major from English
literature to drama. To pay his way through college, he played music and sang in bars. After three-and-a-half
years, he left school to go on the road as the lead singer with the Elektra recording group, Clear Light. Clear
Light recorded two albums and opened for such legends as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and The Doors.

While performing with the band in New York, DeYoung once again found himself drawn to acting. He quit the
group to pursue the stage, and subsequently starred in such productions as David Rabe’s Tony Award-winning
drama, “Sticks and Bones,” and the Broadway musical hit, “Hair.”

He returned to California in the mid-1970s to star in the television movie, “Sunshine,” which later became a
critically acclaimed series. He went on to appear in such television movies as “The Lindbergh Kidnapping Case,”
with Anthony Hopkins; one of the first miniseries ever made, “Centennial”; and the “Stephen King’s The
Tommyknockers.” Most recently he drew critical praise for his performance in the John Frankenheimer Civil
War prison drama, “Andersonville.” He also co-starred with Ann-Margret in the recent miniseries, “Seduced By
Madness: The Diane Borchardt Story.”

His many feature film credits include the Academy Award-winning film, “Glory,” directed by “Relativity”
executive producer Edward Zwick; the recent releases, “The Craft” and “The Substitute”; and “Harry and
Tonto,” “Blue Collar,” “Independence Day” (1983), “The Hunger,” “Flashback” and “F/X.”

Cliff DeYoung and his wife, producer Gypsi DeYoung, make their home in Los Angeles with their eight-year-old
daughter, Manzi.

“Relativity” marks Mary Ellen Trainor’s first full-time foray into series television. Trainor’s work has been
primarily in feature films, most notably all three movies in the “Lethal Weapon” franchise, in which she plays the
psychiatrist who is convinced Mel Gibson is crazy. She also appeared in “Romancing the Stone,” with Michael
Douglas; “Ricochet,” with Denzel Washington; “Little Giants,” with Ed O’Neill; and, most recently, “Executive
Decision,” with Kurt Russell. In the recent television movie, “A Face to Die For,” she garnered rave reviews for
her portrayal of Yasmine Bleeth’s degenerate, alcoholic mother.

Trainor was born and raised in San Francisco. While a ttending college in San Diego, she was recruited by the
local all-news radio station as the morning drive news editor. CBS News later brought her back to her
hometown of San Francisco, where she served as news editor for KCBS-TV. She was being groomed for a
news job in front of the cameras when she decided to leave it all behind to pursue her first interest, the motion
picture industry.

She moved to Los Angeles, and after waitressing for several months, took a job working as production assistant
to two up-and-coming producers — Steven Spielberg and John Milius. Spielberg was in the midst of producing
“1941,” and it was during the making of the film that Trainor met “1941′s” writer, and her future husband, Robert
Zemeckis, himself just breaking into the entertainment business. She later worked as executive in charge of
creative affairs at 20th Century Fox under the regime of Sherry Lansing and Daniel Melnick. Despite her success
behind the cameras, Trainor decided to give her first love, acting, one more try, with roles in feature films soon
following.

The role of which Trainor is proudest is that of mom to her 10-year-old son, Alex. She and her family make their
home in Montecito, California.

People all over the world dream of coming to Hollywood and landing a job. Poppy Montgomery did just that.
The minute she turned 18, and aided by a paperback, “How to Make It in Hollywood,” Montgomery boldly
called up Julia Roberts’ manager and announced she had arrived in town. A tad taken aback by her call, but
impressed with her initiative, he recommended her to her current management team, Mindel/Shaw/Donegan, and
she’s been working steadily ever since.

Poppy’s work has run the gamut, including the role of Allison, a young English lesbian confused about her
sexuality, on the series, “Party of Five.” She has also guest-starred on the ABC series, “NYPD Blue,” and in the
television film, “Jake Lassiter.” Her film work includes parts in “Devil in a Blue Dress,” and “American Untitled,”
Rob Lowe’s directorial debut for Chanticleer Films. She recently completed “The Cold Equations,” a futuristic
film set aboard a spaceship, in which she stars with Billy Campbell.

Montgomery’s father owns a chain of restaurants, and her mother owns a marketing research company. She
grew up in a large and eclectic family. Like Poppy (whose middle name is Petal), her four sisters are named after
flowers: Rosie Thorn, Daisy Yellow, Lily Belle and Marigold Sun, and her brother is named for the rock group,
Jethro Tull.

Poppy is a great connoisseur of junk food. In her spare time, she practices yoga, enjoys photography and loves
sleeping.

Robert Katims’ many guest-starring television roles have included that of Arnold Deansfrei, the philanthropist
who mistakes Kramer for a mentally and physically challenged person, on “Seinfeld”; and that of attorney Jacob
Bloom on “Law and Order.” He has also appeared in such dramas as “My So- Called Life,” “L.A. Law” and
“Civil Wars.” In the telefilm, “The Bride In Black,” he played the reluctant detective who helps Susan Lucci find
her husband’s murderer; and in the cable film, “Margaret Bourke- White,” he played a photographer’s agent who
makes advances to Farrah Fawcett.

In addition to his on-screen roles, Katims is also the father of “Relativity” creator and co- executive producer
Jason Katims. He jokingly says that he’s all for nepotism, even if, in the Katims family, it seems to work
backwards.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Katims began a career in the theater but later abandoned acting to work for a
New York-based firm that sold law books, Matthew Bender and Company. He rose through the ranks and
became one of the firm’s top marketing executives, a position he later chose to give up to return to the West
Coast and take on a lucrative job as salesman for the company in the Inland Empire region of Southern
California. Although his family and friends questioned the move, he prospered, doubling his salary. But while
Katims had a beautiful home and enjoyed a rich lifestyle, he found himself unhappy. He says he realized he’d
been playing the role of a salesman all those years, when what he really wanted was to return to acting after a
30-year hiatus.

He opted to take an early retirement to seek work as an actor. Although the move taxed him financially, he
eventually began to find roles in Equity waiver productions. Ironically, the job that got him his SAG card was that
of an attorney in “Divorce Court,” a role he felt more than qualified to play after all those years of selling law
books.

Since returning to acting, Katims has appeared in numerous feature films and stage productions, in addition to
television. In James Brooks’ hit film, “Broadcast News,” he played Martin Klein, the laid- off employee who
wishes his boss an early death. He also co-starred in the recent “The Pallbearer” and “Presumed Innocent.” He
has starred off-Broadway in plays at the John Houseman Theatre, Riverwest Theatre and Jewish Repertory
Theatre, with his most notable performance in “Men in Pits,” written by son Jason, at two theaters. Regionally, he
has appeared in “A Dybbuk,” the Tony Kushner adaptation, at the Denver Center Theatre Conservatory; as
Uncle Umbi at the Yale Repertory Company’s production of “Bricklayers”; and as Ben in Neil Simon’s
“Broadway Bound” at the South Jersey Regional Theatre.

Katims and his wife of 41 years, Ruth, make their home in Santa Monica but keep one foot in New York by
maintaining a home there as well. In addition to Jason, they are the parents of Michael Katims, who works in the
film business in Paris as a translator and who is currently directing the dubbing of a French film into English; and
Susan Paolotti, a sales executive in New York. The Katims are eagerly anticipating the births of their first
grandchildren — Jason and wife Cathy are expecting a son; and Michael and wife Veronique are expecting twin
girls, all in November.

Lisa Edelstein is in the enviable position of appearing in three television series at the same time. She stars as
Rhonda Roth, Leo’s sister, on the one-hour drama, “Relativity,” and has the recurring role of Patti, the
nightmarish wife of one of Nancy Travis’ writers, on the comedy, “Almost Perfect.” She can also be heard as the
voice of Mercy Grave in the animated series, “Superman.”

Lisa spent her childhood on the East Coast. She began her professional acting career while studying theater at
N.Y.U. After performing in a wide range of productions on off and off-off Broadway, Lisa authored, composed
and performed the musical, “Positive Me,” at Ellen Stuart’s La Mama in Manhattan, one of the earliest
AIDS-related theater productions.

Her first television experience was as host on MTV ‘s “Awake on the Wild Side.” She moved to Los Angeles
and supporting roles in such films as “The Doors” and “Love Affair” soon followed. Her unique comic talents
were showcased in recurring and guest roles on “Seinfeld” (in which she appeared as George’s girlfriend), “Mad
About You” and “The Larry Sanders Show.” Lisa also continued to pursue her love of theater by working
extensively with L.A. Stage and Film, an experimental lab group.

Lisa makes her home in Los Angeles with a menagerie of pets — three dogs and two cats, all of which were
either strays or rescued from shelters around town. She enjoys writing, composing music and painting in her
spare time.

Adam Goldberg is perhaps best-known to television audiences for his memorable guest-starring roles, including
that of Eddie, Matthew Perry’s obsessive roommate, on the hit series, “Friends.” In addition to appearing on
such series as “NYPD Blue,” “ER,” “Love & War” and “Murphy Brown,” Goldberg also starred as Leo in the
Shukovsky/English Entertainment comedy, “Double Rush.”

Goldberg made his feature film debut in 1991 as Billy Crystal ‘s young brother-in-law, in “Mr. Saturday Night.”
He later starred as Mike, the neurotic high school junior who tries to reconcile his intellect with his machismo, in
the critically acclaimed film, “Dazed and Confused,” directed by Richard Linklater. He also co-starred in John
Singleton’s “Higher Learning,” and in “The Prophecy,” with Christopher Walken.

Born in Santa Monica and raised in Hollywood, Goldberg became interested in acting as a very young child. At
the age of 14, he began studying with Tracy Roberts, and the following year he enrolled in acting classes at the
Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles. After high school graduation, he attended Sarah Lawrence for a year,
during which time he performed in a number of college stage productions, including “Six Characters in Search of
an Author,” “In Search of Justice” and “The Informer.” He later returned to Los Angeles and began studying with
Lynette Katselas.

Goldberg is currently in post production on an independent film he both wrote and directed, “Scotch and Milk,”
which will be released at some point later this year. The film marks his directorial debut, and the cast includes
“High Incident’s” Cole Hauser and Goldberg’s former “Double Rush” co- star, Robert Pastorelli.
